TSG Hoffenheim II made it a comfortable away afternoon in the 3. Liga, beating Fortuna Düsseldorf 2-0. They struck inside three minutes through Tiago Poller and never looked back. Jorrit Hendrix's red card late on finished Düsseldorf as a serious threat.
Poller put the visitors in front early, and Jakov Dedic added the second in the 52nd minute. Düsseldorf had Matthias Zimmermann and Maximilian Theuer booked before the break, then lost Hendrix to a red card in the 79th minute. They could not respond after that.
