HK Olimpija shut out Pioneers Vorarlberg 8-0 in regulation, and the thing was effectively over inside the opening 13 minutes. Three goals in the first, three more in the second, two in the third — every period belonged to the home side.
Nicolai Meyer opened it in the fourth minute off a Marly Quince feed, Rozle Bohinc made it 2-0 a minute later, and Miha Bericic pushed it to 3-0 at 13. Ziga Mehle's goal at 23 removed any remaining doubt, and by the time Blaz Gregorc scored at 31 it was 6-0 after 40 minutes; Meyer's second at 44 and Jan Urbas' second at 46 closed it out.
Meyer and Urbas each finished with two goals, and Bohinc and Bericic both put up a goal and an assist. Gregorc did the same — an assist on Bericic's first-period goal, then the 6-0 marker himself — while Vorarlberg never got on the board.
