Skellefteå AIK defeated HK Nitra 6-1 in regulation, using a fast start and a big third period to win the Champions Hockey League contest. Hudson Fasching opened the scoring in the fifth minute with Jonathan Pudas assisting, and Andreas Johnson doubled the lead at 16:00 on a feed from Valter Lindberg.
After a scoreless second period left Skellefteå ahead 2-0, the third period opened with three straight away goals: Oskar Vuollet from Pudas at 42:00, Mikkel Aagaard from Oscar Lindberg at 47:00, and Rickard Hugg at 49:00. Marko Stacha briefly answered for HK Nitra in the same minute, but Skellefteå struck again at 55:00 to complete the 6-1 result.
Pudas and Oscar Lindberg each recorded two assists, and Skellefteå’s 4-1 third period turned a tight game into a rout. The win was built on early control and sustained offensive pressure in the closing frame.
