HK Nitra scored four unanswered goals to beat KooKoo Kouvola 4-1 in regulation, flipping a one-goal deficit inside the middle period. The visitors took the second 2-1 and the third 2-0, and the game was effectively settled before the final ten minutes.
The opening period was scoreless. Roope Tossavainen put KooKoo ahead at 25 minutes off a Santeri Sulku feed, but Michal Krištof tied it at 33 and Ondrej Molnar made it 2-1 at 36 — the turning point, a three-minute stretch that reversed the game. Jakub Lacka added the third at 45, and Krištof finished it at 56 for 4-1.
Krištof was the standout with two goals, both assisted by Adrian Holesinsky, who ended the night with two helpers. KooKoo managed one goal on the night; Nitra's four came from four different scoring plays with four different assist men.
