Heracles Almelo beat FC Eindhoven 3-1 in the Eerste Divisie, turning the match with three goals in a decisive spell either side of the hour mark. The visitors led at half-time, lost the lead early in the second half, then struck twice in four minutes to take control.
Djevencio van der Kust put Heracles ahead in the 40th minute from Jean-Paul N'Djoli's assist. Siegert Baartmans levelled for Eindhoven on 59 minutes with Guus Beaumont, but Damon Mirani restored Heracles' lead four minutes later and Tristan van Gilst added the third in the 67th minute.
The statistics showed Heracles as the more clinical side: they had five shots on target to Eindhoven's two and a higher expected-goals total of 1.72, while also winning more corners. Possession was almost even, but Eindhoven's 13 shots yielded only two on target.
