Heracles Almelo powered to a commanding 5-0 victory over De Graafschap in the Eerste Divisie, Jean-Paul N'Djoli scoring three of the goals. The home side were ruthless in front of goal, converting four of their five big chances as they took control early and never let go.
N'Djoli set the tone after two minutes, finishing from Chafik Abbas's pass, and Abbas doubled the lead on 41 minutes. Tristan van Gilst made it three with help from Thomas Bruns on 72, before N'Djoli struck twice more late on — in the 82nd and 90th minutes, the first set up by Sem Scheperman and the second coming without an assist.
De Graafschap actually had more of the ball with 56 per cent possession, but Heracles were far more dangerous, racking up 16 shots to their five and an expected-goals edge of 2.74 to 0.64. N'Djoli's hat-trick was the headline act, while Sem Scheperman also impressed with two assists.
