HC Motor Ceske Budejovice took it 5-4 over HC Verva Litvinov in regulation, and the third period was the whole story. Trailing 2-3 after 40 minutes, Motor scored three times in the final frame to flip it.
The teams traded goals inside the seventh minute, Viktor Samal off a Pawel Zygmunt feed for Litvinov, then Jan Ordos, assisted by Ondrej Vala, for the hosts. Jan Stencel put Motor up 2-1 at 23 before David Kampf (26) and Janis Jaks (35) turned the middle period Litvinov's way for 2-3. The swing came after the second intermission: Ordos tied it at 45, Petr Koblasa answered at 46 for 3-4, and Motor leveled again at 53 en route to 5-4.
Ordos finished with two goals, the second one the goal that restarted the comeback. Ondrej Kase assisted on three Litvinov goals - Kampf, Jaks and Koblasa - and still ended up on the losing side.
