SC Bern handled HC Davos 5-2 in regulation, and the middle period settled it. Two unanswered goals in the second turned a one-goal game into 4-1 and left Davos chasing the rest of the way.
Rodrigo Abols opened the scoring at the six-minute mark off a Dario Rohrbach feed, Rasmus Asplund answered at 13 with Enzo Corvi assisting, and Benjamin Baumgartner restored the lead a minute later, again set up by Rohrbach, for 2-1 after 20. Sami Kreis at 26 and Ian Mitchell at 33 pushed it to 4-1, and that was the turning point. Davos got one back at 52, but Bern restored the three-goal margin at 58.
Dario Rohrbach and Waltteri Merela each collected two assists, Rohrbach on both first-period Bern goals and Merela on both second-period markers. Bern scored in all three periods and won the period count 2-1, 2-0, 1-1.
