Hardt N. defeated Filip J. 6-1, 6-2 in the Prague Men Singles. The winner was superior on return, converting four breaks and winning 37 points on Filip's serve. Filip held only two of his six service games as Hardt dominated from the baseline.
Hardt broke in game two to lead 2-0 in the opening set and added another break in game six for 5-1 before serving it out. Filip briefly levelled the second set at 1-1 with a break in game two, but Hardt broke straight back in game three and sealed the win with a break in game seven at 2-5.
Hardt's return game was the standout feature: he turned four of his 11 break-point chances and won 65 per cent of points behind his first serve, compared to Filip's 46 per cent. He finished with 67 total points to Filip's 48.
