Victor Mayela opened the scoring in the 21st minute from Alex Daho's assist, but Yadaly Diaby levelled for Grenoble on the stroke of half-time. Dunkerque then took over, as Marco Decherf scored from Egor Prutsev's pass in the 52nd minute and Prutsev added two more in the 57th and 64th minutes. Diaby pulled one back late for Grenoble in the 76th minute, but it was only a consolation.
Egor Prutsev was the key figure, scoring twice and setting up Decherf's goal. Dunkerque's dominance showed in the stats, including ten corners to two, while Diaby's double was the bright spot for a Grenoble side that rarely threatened.
