HC Pustertal took a 4-1 decision in Graz, all of it in regulation, with three goals in the final eight minutes turning a tied game into a comfortable road win. The visitors scored three times in the third period after the sides had been level at 1-1.
The first period ended scoreless. Alan Lobis broke through unassisted at 32 minutes for 0-1, and Nick Swaney tied it at 42 minutes off a Frank Hora feed. The turning point came at 52 minutes, when JC Lipon scored from Markus Lauridsen for 1-2; Lipon added his second at 55 minutes, and Pustertal made it 1-4 at 57.
Lipon was the difference with two goals inside four minutes, the second unassisted. Pustertal's 3-1 edge in the third period, after a scoreless opening 20 minutes, decided it.
