AS Monaco beat Górnik Zabrze 4-1 in the Europa Conference League play-off round at home. Two goals before half-time and another straight after it gave Monaco a commanding lead, and Górnik's late goal did not change the outcome.
Paris Brunner opened the scoring on 30 minutes from Mamadou Coulibaly's assist, and Coulibaly doubled the lead seven minutes later after Flávio Nazinho set him up. Aleksandr Golovin made it 3-0 within five minutes of the restart, Mika Biereth added a fourth on 78, and Janis Antiste grabbed a consolation for Górnik on 83.
Monaco had 66% possession and 15 shots to Górnik's seven, yet the visitors created three big chances to Monaco's one and missed two of them. Mamadou Coulibaly was the decisive figure, assisting the opener and scoring the second, and Monaco's finishing proved the difference.
