Golubić opened the stronger, breaking in games one and three to lead 3-0; Parry answered in game four, levelled at 5-5, and closed the set with another break in the twelfth game to win 7-5. The second set stayed on serve until Parry broke to lead 4-2 in game six; Golubić hit straight back to 3-4, but Parry sealed the match with a break in game ten to take it 6-4.
The standout numbers belong to Parry: five aces, 75% first serves and eight saves from eleven break points. Golubić won more return points, 36-27, and still made three breaks, but her one save from five break points did not turn that pressure into a set.
