GKS Katowice came from behind to beat MŠK Žilina 3-1 in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League. After a goalless first half, the tie burst into life early in the second period, and the Polish side's late double proved decisive.
Adam Zreľák opened the scoring four minutes into the second half, tapping in from Bartosz Nowak's cross. Žilina hit back through František Kosa on 57 minutes, but Katowice regained control when Mateusz Wdowiak fired home from another Nowak assist with 11 minutes left. Ilia Shkurin then sealed the win three minutes later, latching onto Bartosz Wolski's pass.
Bartosz Nowak was the creative heartbeat for the home side, providing two assists in a dominant attacking display. Though Žilina stayed in the game until late on, Katowice's relentless pressure told with two quick-fire goals to take a commanding lead into the second leg.
