Académica Coimbra won 4-1 at Chaves in the Segunda Liga, scoring twice in each half. Marcos Paulo's goal in the seventh minute gave the visitors an early platform, and they extended the lead before the break and again after it.
Afonso Rodrigues made it 0-2 in the 38th minute, and Amadou Coundoul and Pontus Texel added a third and fourth in the 63rd and 78th minutes. Chaves' Wilson Tavares pulled one back with an 85th-minute goal, assisted by Roberto. Kaka and Afonso Rodrigues were booked before that.
The result was never in doubt once Académica scored their second, and they finished with four different scorers. Marcos Paulo's early strike proved the platform for a comfortable away win, while Chaves' late consolation came too late to alter the outcome.
