Franco Fagúndez opened the scoring in the 17th minute, turning in Nahuel Bustos’s assist. Nahuel Bustos then doubled the lead in the 23rd minute to make it 2-0. The match turned in the closing stages as Bustos pulled one back for Fortaleza in the 77th minute, and Jordan García struck in the 90th to snatch a share of the points.
Fortaleza CEIF had 60% possession and completed 108 passes to Santa Fe’s 69, yet the home side created the better chances with five shots on target to one. Fortaleza’s goalkeeper made three saves to keep his team in the match, and away pressure finally paid off with the last-minute equaliser.
