Spokane Velocity FC came from behind to beat Fort Wayne FC 3-1, with Shavon John-Brown scoring twice in the second half to turn the game around. Fort Wayne had taken the lead through Jack Thomas early on, but Spokane grew into the contest and were rewarded after the break.
Jack Thomas put Fort Wayne ahead in the 15th minute, but Spokane levelled through Shavon John-Brown in the 66th minute, assisted by Nil Vinyals. John-Brown then put his side ahead in the 81st minute with help from Jack Denton, and Luis Gil added a third just three minutes later from a John-Brown assist.
Shavon John-Brown was the difference, scoring twice and setting up the third, but Spokane were outshot 15-8 and had less possession (47%). Fort Wayne had seven shots on target to Spokane's three, but the home side's goalkeeper made six saves and converted all three of their big chances.
