Kairat Almaty earned a 2-0 win away to FK Sutjeska Nikšić in the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round, with both goals arriving in the second half. The home side's hopes were further damaged when Andrija Ražnatović was sent off late in the game.
Ismail Bekbolat broke the deadlock in the 68th minute to give Kairat the lead. Jorge Gabriel Costa Monteiro doubled the advantage in the 83rd minute, shortly after Ražnatović had received a second yellow card and was dismissed for Sutjeska.
Two different scorers did the job for Kairat, while Sutjeska's poor discipline saw them collect five yellow cards and a red. The visitors never looked back after the opening goal and saw out a comfortable victory.
