FK Jablonec left Riga with a 2-1 win in the UEFA Europa Conference League third qualifying round, scoring twice inside the first 22 minutes. RFS had far more of the ball and far more shots, but Jablonec's early strikes proved decisive.
Richard Sedláček opened the scoring from Matěj Polidar's assist in the 4th minute, and Sebastian Nebyla doubled the lead in the 22nd. Žiga Lipušček pulled one back for RFS in the 38th, with Dmitrijs Zelenkovs assisting, but the home side couldn't find an equaliser despite sustained pressure. Aleksandar Filipović was sent off in the 83rd minute after a second booking.
The box score shows RFS with 58% possession and eight shots on target to Jablonec's two, yet Jablonec took their chances early and held on. RFS had the lion's share of the play but left with nothing to show for it.
