FC ŠTK 1914 Šamorín secured a 2-1 victory away to ŠK Slovan Bratislava B in the 2. Liga. Goals either side of half-time gave the visitors a comfortable lead, and although Slovan pulled one back late, Šamorín held on.
Onyebuchi Ihejirika put Šamorín in front in the 45th minute, and Useni Kiza Seraphin doubled the lead in the 57th. Slovan's 83rd-minute goal set up a tense finale, but the home side could not force an equaliser.
Possession was slightly in Slovan's favour at 53%, and they registered four shots on target to Šamorín's three. Yet Šamorín were more clinical in front of goal, also winning the corner count 6-2 and committing fewer fouls. Two yellow cards were shown in the match.
