FC Sion cruised to a convincing 4-0 win over BATE Borisov in the UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round. The home side were dominant from the off, scoring inside five minutes and never allowing BATE a single shot on target all night.
Winsley Boteli opened the scoring in the fifth minute, tapping in from close range. Rilind Nivokazi doubled the lead just before half-time, finishing Ylyas Chouaref’s pass. Baltazar made it three on 58 minutes with a crisp strike, and Théo Berdayes completed the rout in the 68th minute, assisted by Donat Rrudhani.
The stats underline Sion’s superiority: they fired 17 shots, eight on target, while BATE failed to test the goalkeeper once. The visitors managed only five attempts, all off target, and had just one corner to Sion’s ten. Sion’s 53% possession and 416 accurate passes told the story of a side in control from start to finish.
