FC Noah took a commanding first-leg lead in their UEFA Europa Conference League qualifier by beating Zimbru Chisinau 2-1. A goal just before half-time and another straight after the restart put them in control, and although Zimbru pulled one back, Noah held on for the win.
Gor Manvelyan opened the scoring in the 31st minute with an assist from Marin Jakoliš. Gustavo Sangaré doubled the lead two minutes into the second half, Mario González providing the assist. Zimbru responded through Jonathas Abimael da Silva Conceição in the 76th minute, set up by Stefan Bîtca, but they could not find an equaliser.
There were four yellow cards across the two sides, with Takuto Oshima, Matteo Amoroso, Thiago Ceijas, and Alexandru Gutium all booked. Noah’s two-goal burst either side of half-time proved the difference on a night when neither team dominated possession or shots according to available data.
