FK Kauno Žalgiris came from behind to snatch a 3-2 win over FC Drita in the first leg of their Champions League qualifier. The Lithuanian side looked down and out after trailing 2-1 at half-time, but two goals in the final eight minutes turned the tie on its head.
Vykintas Slivka opened the scoring for the visitors in the ninth minute, but FC Drita hit back through Igball Jashari in the 20th minute and then took the lead when Arb Manaj netted just after the hour. Slivka levelled things up again with 10 minutes left, and Amine Benchaib completed the turnaround with a stoppage-time winner.
Slivka was the star of the show with a brace, while Benchaib also weighed in with a goal and an assist. FC Drita will feel they let a lead slip, but Kauno Žalgiris showed real character to keep pushing and grab the win late on.
