Portland Timbers and FC Dallas shared the points in a 2-2 draw after a dramatic late equaliser. The Timbers dominated possession and created more chances but had to come from behind twice against a Dallas side that made the most of their limited opportunities.
Patrickson Delgado gave FC Dallas the lead just before half-time, heading in from Joaquin Valiente's cross. Kevin Kelsy levelled for Portland on 66 minutes with a close-range finish, but Petar Musa restored Dallas's lead in the 88th minute. Felipe Mora then rescued a point for the hosts, converting Kristoffer Velde's assist deep into stoppage time.
Portland finished with 62% possession and an expected goals total of 2.49, but they missed three big chances and needed their goalkeeper to make just one save. FC Dallas, despite having only 38% of the ball, took their goals well and were denied a win by Mora's late intervention.
