Fatić N. edged Donald M. 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 in the Prague Men's Singles, taking a tight match that was decided by the final set. The key was Fatić's timing: he took the first set with the only break of the opener, then recovered from an early deficit in the decider.
After a serve-dominated opener, Fatić broke in game 12 to seal it 7-5. Donald responded by breaking in game 7 at 3-4 and went on to win the second set 6-4. The third set swung again: Donald broke immediately in game 1, but Fatić levelled at 3-3 in game 6 and then broke once more in game 8 to close out 6-3.
Fatić's serving made the early difference, with five aces in the opening set compared with Donald's one. Yet the standout was his response in the third set, when he turned a 0-1 deficit into victory with two breaks over the final three games.
