ETO FC Győr and Riga FC drew 1-1 in the Europa Conference League third qualifying round. Riga had much the better of the play but trailed for most of the match, and needed an 88th-minute equaliser from Caio Ferreira to salvage a draw.
Győr took the lead on 28 minutes through Željko Gavrić. Riga dominated possession and territory but found the home defence stubborn until Ferreira converted Andrés Salazar's cross two minutes from time. The late goal came after a tense second half that saw Raki Aouani and Claudiu Bumba booked earlier.
Riga's 63 per cent possession and 21 shots to Győr's ten told the story of their territorial dominance, yet Győr created the stronger openings and were minutes from a valuable win. The home goalkeeper made five saves as Riga poured forward after the break.
