Independiente Rivadavia beat Estudiantes de Río Cuarto 2-1 in the Superliga. A brace from Alex Arce in the space of nine second-half minutes decided a contest that had been goalless at the break. Estudiantes' late reply from Gabriel Alanis proved only a consolation.
Arce put the home side ahead in the 71st minute, then doubled the lead in the 80th with the assist from Matías Fernández. Alanis converted in the 88th minute to make it 2-1, but Rivadavia closed the game out. The match featured four yellow cards.
Rivadavia were the dominant side, with 19 shots to six, 65% possession and an expected-goals advantage of 2.42 to 0.53. For all that, both teams managed only three shots on target, and Estudiantes remained in it until Alanis's late strike.
