The first set was one-sided: Erjavec broke in the third game (2-1) and again in the fifth (4-1), closing it out without facing a break point. The second set swung repeatedly — Feistel broke for a 4-2 lead in the sixth game, but Erjavec immediately broke back in the ninth game (4-5) and then sealed the match with a decisive break in the 11th game (6-5).
Erjavec’s first-serve consistency proved decisive: she landed 75% of her first serves (38/51), well above Feistel’s 63% (36/57). She also committed only one double fault to Feistel’s four, helping her edge the tight second set.
