Deportivo La Coruña and Elche shared the points in a 1-1 draw in LaLiga. Elche controlled much of the contest but had to come from behind after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's early goal.
Aubameyang put Deportivo ahead in the 21st minute, finishing after Lorenzo Amatucci's assist. Elche pushed forward and Marc Aguado levelled in the 76th minute, with Gonzalo Villar supplying the assist. Ximo Navarro, Amatucci, Villar and Umaru Konare Tounkara were all booked.
The numbers showed Elche's dominance: 61 per cent possession, 11 shots to eight, and an expected-goals figure of 1.41 against Deportivo's 0.34. Yet Deportivo held on for a point thanks to five saves from their goalkeeper.
