RB Leipzig won 6-0 at Eintracht Trier in the DFB Pokal first round, the tie effectively settled inside the opening six minutes. Brajan Gruda and Willi Orbán scored the early goals, and Leipzig added four more by the end.
Gruda opened the scoring in the second minute from Ezechiel Banzuzi's assist, and Orbán doubled the lead in the sixth. Ridle Baku made it 3-0 in the 45th minute, Conrad Harder added a fourth in the 76th, and Antonio Nusa and Banzuzi both struck in the 90th to complete the rout.
Leipzig dominated the stats: 72% possession, 28 shots to seven, 11 on target to two, and 11 corners to two. Trier's goalkeeper made five saves and his side had one big chance, while Leipzig's five big chances yielded four goals. The only cards were a 29th-minute booking for Trier's Mateo Kritzer and a 52nd-minute one for Leipzig's Nicolas Seiwald.
