Dynamo Pardubice won 6-3 in Kouvola in regulation, turning the game with a three-goal middle period. KooKoo led after twenty minutes and never led again.
Roope Tossavainen opened the scoring at 9 off a Verner Miettinen feed for a 1-0 first-period lead. Pardubice answered with Jachym Kondelik at 25, Matej Stransky at 26 and Jan Mandat at 26 to go up 1-3; Ari Grondahl pulled KooKoo back to 2-3 at 29. Tomas Nosek at 41 and Lukas Sedlak at 47 restored the cushion, and Samuel Valkeejarvi's goal at 57 only cut it to 3-5.
Kondelik was the difference with two goals, including the empty-look finish at 58 for 3-6, unassisted. Peter Ceresnak assisted twice, on Mandat's goal and on Nosek's third-period opener — the two markers that bracketed the swing.
