Universidad Católica and Deportes La Serena shared six goals in a thrilling 3-3 draw in Primera Division. La Serena came from two goals down to lead 3-2, only for Católica to snatch an equaliser deep into stoppage time.
Fernando Zampedri opened the scoring from a free kick in the 28th minute, and Eugenio Mena made it 2-0 just before half-time. Gonzalo Gabriel Figueroa pulled one back for La Serena in the 72nd minute, then Matías Marín equalised from Figueroa's pass ten minutes later. Figueroa completed his brace in the 86th minute to put La Serena ahead, but Zampedri struck again in the 90th minute to level the scores.
La Serena had more of the ball (51%) and created far more chances, registering nine shots on target to Católica's four and creating four big chances to Católica's one. But Católica goalkeeper made six saves to keep his side in the game, and La Serena missed one big chance that could have sealed the win.
