Dellien H. defeated Damas M. 6-2, 6-4 in the Porto Men Singles after taking control in the key return games. The winner dropped only four games across two sets and held all eight of his service games.
Dellien broke Damas twice in the first set, in game five at 2-3 and in game seven at 2-5, to close out 6-2. In the second set he made the decisive move with a single break in game three at 1-2 and finished the match at 6-4.
Dellien was the more reliable player on the big points, saving the only break point he faced and winning 73% of his second-serve points to Damas's 44%. Damas produced three aces to Dellien's two, but converted none of his own break chances.
