Helmond Sport and De Graafschap shared the points in a 1-1 Eerste Divisie draw. The home side struck first through Dean Huiberts, only for Fedde De Jong to level before half-time. The result leaves honours even after a contest in which De Graafschap controlled much of the play.
Helmond took the lead in the ninth minute when Dean Huiberts finished from Livio Cicero's assist. De Graafschap responded on the stroke of half-time, Fedde De Jong converting Nart Ahmeti's pass to make it 1-1. The second half brought bookings for Dean Huiberts, Helgi Frodi Ingason, Donny Warmerdam and Jannes Wieckhoff, but no further goals.
De Graafschap dominated the underlying numbers, with 64% possession, 16 shots and an expected-goals total of 1.58 against Helmond's 0.95. Yet Helmond matched them on target with three shots apiece, and both goalkeepers made two saves. The away side had more attempts but could not turn their superiority into a winner.
