A tight, low-event game ended all square as CF Montreal and DC United shared the points in MLS. Montreal took the lead just after the break, but DC United hit back to earn a draw.
Prince-Osei Owusu put CF Montreal ahead in the 50th minute with the opening goal. DC United responded in the 66th minute when Tai Baribo equalised after an assist from Kimito Nono. The game also featured three bookings: Jackson Hopkins in the 19th minute, Keisuke Kurokawa in the 49th and Luca Petrasso in the 63rd.
The underlying numbers underlined how little separated the teams: possession was 47-53 in DC United's favour, accurate passes were 27 apiece and expected goals were 0.03 for both sides. DC United had the game's only shot and corner, yet neither side could find a winner.
