Andrey Rublev eased past Luciano Darderi 6-4, 6-3 in Bastad, winning on the back of decisive breaks and a dominant serving performance. The Russian saved both break points he faced, while Darderi could not convert any of his three break opportunities.
Rublev broke in the 10th game of the first set to take it 6-4. In the second set, he broke early at 2-0 and never looked back, closing it out 6-3 with only two service games played due to his efficient serving.
Rublev won 84% of his first‑serve points (27/32) and lost just two points on his second serve in the first set. He also hit four aces without a double fault, while Darderi committed three double faults.
