Panathinaikos edged FC CSKA 1948 Sofia 2-1 away in the Europa Conference League third qualifying round, snatching the win with Cyriel Dessers' stoppage-time goal. The visitors had led through Levi García but were pegged back before Dessers sealed it in the 94th minute.
García put Panathinaikos ahead in the 60th minute, only for Lasha Dvali to level for CSKA 1948 Sofia in the 87th. With the game poised for a draw, Dessers struck in the fourth minute of added time to give the Greek side the upper hand.
Panathinaikos dominated the shot count 21-14 and had 11 efforts on target compared to five from the hosts, but CSKA's goalkeeper made nine saves to keep them in the game. The home side missed three big chances while Panathinaikos converted two of their four.
