Nashville SC came from behind to beat Columbus Crew 3-2 in MLS, scoring twice in the 90th minute to snatch the points. Columbus led 2-1 from the 68th minute, but Reed Baker-Whiting and Andy Najar turned the game around in a dramatic finish.
Hany Mukhtar put Nashville ahead in the 27th minute, assisted by Daniel Lovitz. Mohamed Farsi levelled for Columbus in the 58th minute with Malte Amundsen providing the assist, and André Gomes put the visitors in front 10 minutes later. Nashville pushed for an equaliser and got it through Reed Baker-Whiting, with Mukhtar turning provider, before Andy Najar completed the comeback from Jeisson Palacios' pass.
The numbers show Nashville's control: they had 58% possession, 13 shots to Columbus' 3 and six on target to two. Yet their expected goals were only 0.78 to 0.38, and Columbus keeper made three saves, so the late flurry was as much about persistence as dominance. The two yellow cards — to Daniel Lovitz in the 39th minute and Cesar Ruvalcaba in the 49th — did little to slow the game down.
