Connecticut United came from behind to beat Columbus Crew 2 2-1 at home. After conceding an early goal, they scored twice before the hour mark to secure the win.
Columbus took the lead in the 11th minute when Jamil Danjaji finished from Prince Forfor's assist. Connecticut levelled eight minutes later through Alex Monis, then struck again six minutes into the second half through Andre Applewhaite, set up by Lukas Kamrath. Immanuel Ewing was booked for Connecticut in the 14th minute and Columbus' Rui Aoki saw yellow in the 71st.
Columbus dominated possession with 70% and created four big chances to Connecticut's two, but they missed three of those opportunities. Connecticut, by contrast, converted both of their big chances and were more efficient in front of goal, registering 13 total shots to Columbus's six.
