Colo Colo took control of this Primera Division clash with two quick goals early in the second half and held on to beat Deportes Limache 3-1, despite playing the last 17 minutes with ten men. The home side dominated possession with 62% and registered 16 total shots to Limache's 13, but the visitors had three big chances of their own and made life difficult.
Álvaro Madrid broke the deadlock two minutes into the second half, firing home from close range. Jeyson Rojas doubled the lead in the 56th minute, tapping in Leandro Hernández's assist. Deportes Limache pulled one back through Daniel Castro in the 74th minute, just moments after Colo Colo's Erick Wiemberg was sent off for a second yellow card. But Felipe Raipán restored the two-goal cushion in the 88th minute, finishing off a counter-attack.
Colo Colo's accurate passing stood out – they completed 476 passes to Limache's 238 – but the visitors matched them for shots on target (5-7) and goalkeeper saves (4 each). Wiemberg's red card could have been a turning point, but Colo Colo showed resilience to see out the win, converting two of their three big chances.
