The first set saw three breaks: Cobolli broke in game 9, Blockx replied in game 10, and Cobolli broke again in game 11 to take it 7-5. Blockx forced a decider by breaking in the 10th game of the second set, winning it 6-4. The third set swung twice before Cobolli broke at 5-6 to close out the match.
Cobolli was the cleaner server throughout, committing just one double fault and landing 60% of first serves, while Blockx managed 10 aces but also seven double faults. Cobolli also saved five of the eight break points he faced.
