Club Tijuana came from behind to beat Tigres UANL 3-1, a result heavily influenced by Rodrigo Aguirre's red card just before half-time. The visitors were reduced to ten men after Aguirre's dismissal, and Tijuana took full advantage with two goals in stoppage time.
Ramiro Árciga put Tijuana ahead in the 31st minute, but Ozziel Herrera equalised for Tigres early in the second half. With Tigres down to ten, Tijuana pushed forward and finally broke through in the 90th minute when Mourad El Ghezouani scored, and then an own goal sealed the win moments later.
Tijuana dominated the shot count (15-8) and expected goals (2.12-0.59), though Tigres created more big chances (3-2) but missed two of them. The home side's persistence with the man advantage proved decisive.
