Borges was then sent off on 70, and Gent made the extra man count when Cisse converted Matties Volckaert's assist in the 85th.
The box score had Gent behind on possession and passes — 38% and 340 to Club Brugge's 62% and 611 — but ahead on shots on target (8-3) and big chances (4-1). Gent's goalkeeper needed only two saves, while Club Brugge's was called upon six times. It was a win built on sharp finishing rather than control.
