Siwelele FC and Chippa United shared the points in a 1-1 draw in the Premier Soccer League. Chippa took the lead just after the interval, but Siwelele hit back midway through the second half to earn a share of the spoils.
Chippa United went ahead in the 52nd minute when Azola Matrose finished from Ntuthuko Mlotshwa's assist. Siwelele responded on 75 minutes as Yandisa Mfolozi levelled, with Relebogile Mokhuoane providing the assist. The match was played at a brisk tempo, with five bookings in all, including one for each side in the opening period.
Siwelele dominated the shot count, registering 13 attempts to Chippa's four, and had 51% of possession. They also forced visiting goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali into two saves, yet needed until the 75th minute to make their pressure count. Despite their territorial advantage, Siwelele had to settle for a point against a Chippa side that was efficient with limited chances.
