Cheltenham Town beat Rotherham United 2-1 in League Two, taking the points despite being second best for long stretches. Jake Evans's goal on 71 minutes proved decisive after Rotherham had cancelled out Cheltenham's early lead.
Charlie McCann put Cheltenham ahead on 30 minutes from Ryan Broom's assist. Jili Buyabu equalised for Rotherham on 62 minutes, finishing off Fabio Tavares's setup, before Jake Evans restored the home side's advantage nine minutes later with Robbie Cundy providing the assist.
Rotherham dominated possession with 54% and outshot Cheltenham 7-3, yet managed only one goal. Cheltenham scored with two of their three attempts, while their goalkeeper made three saves and Rotherham's made none. Both sides created one big chance apiece – Cheltenham converted theirs, Rotherham did not.
