Crown Legacy FC beat Chattanooga FC 3-1 in MLS Next Pro, thanks to a clinical performance built on three big chances. Hugo Mbongue scored twice, including the decisive third, after Chattanooga had threatened a comeback. The win came despite Crown Legacy having less possession and fewer shots.
Andrej Subotic put Crown Legacy ahead in the 25th minute with Mikah Thomas providing the assist, and Mbongue doubled the lead in the 50th minute. Daniel Mangarov pulled one back for Chattanooga in the 63rd minute, but Mbongue sealed the win in the 83rd minute, assisted by Nathan Richmond.
Mbongue was the standout player with two goals, while the underlying numbers told the story of Crown Legacy's efficiency: they scored three from three big chances, with Chattanooga mustering none. Chattanooga dominated the shot count 21 to 12 and had 57% possession, yet Crown Legacy's goalkeeper made six saves to keep them ahead.
