Club Universitario de Tarija ran out comfortable 4-1 winners over Chapaquito Nacional Senac in the Copa Simón Bolívar. The home side took control with two goals in the first 55 minutes, and although Senac pulled one back almost immediately, Universitario responded with two more to seal the victory.
The opening goal came on 35 minutes, and Universitario doubled their lead ten minutes into the second half. Senac struck back just a minute later to make it 2-1, but Universitario restored their two-goal cushion on 68 minutes. They added a fourth in stoppage time, with the contest effectively ended by a red card for Senac on 88 minutes.
Despite winning, Universitario were second-best from set pieces – Senac earned 12 corners to their six. But the home side were far more clinical in front of goal, scoring four times to Senac's one.
