Avispa Fukuoka beat Cerezo Osaka 3-0 in the J.League. Cerezo dominated possession with 67%, but Avispa took their chances and led 2-0 by half-time.
Kazuki Fujimoto opened the scoring in the 35th minute, and Yuma Tsujioka doubled the lead eight minutes later. Werik Popó added a third in the 74th minute, with Daiki Fukazawa providing the assist. Kokoro Maeda was booked in first-half stoppage time.
Avispa were out-passed and out-possessed, but carried the greater threat. They had 13 shots to Cerezo's seven and six on target to one, while creating three big chances to Cerezo's one.
