Paul Heatley opened the scoring in the 37th minute, and Aidan Steele doubled Carrick's advantage four minutes later. Alfie Gaston gave Limavady hope with a goal in the 54th minute, but they could not find an equaliser.
Carrick's early second-half resilience proved decisive after their quick double before the break. Gaston's reply gave the home side momentum, yet Carrick held firm for the win.
