Carrick Rangers cruised to a 4-0 win at Bangor FC in the Premiership, taking the lead inside eight minutes through Matthew Snoddy and finishing the job with three goals after the break.
Snoddy's early strike gave the visitors control, but the game stayed tight until Danny Purkis doubled the lead in the 70th minute. Purkis added a third four minutes later, and a fourth arrived in the 89th minute to complete the rout. Aidan Steele, Jordan Forsythe and Lewis Harrison were all booked.
Purkis was the match-winner with two goals in four minutes, taking his tally for the afternoon to two. Carrick were clinical after the interval, scoring three times in the final twenty minutes to leave Bangor with nothing to show for their efforts.
